Maltitol

Liquid and powder are two types of maltitol product forms.  HUANFA BIOTECH’S maltitol is made from high-quality corn starch by enzymatic hydrolysis to maltose, then hydrogenation, refining, and concentration to produce liquid maltitol. The purified maltitol is further concentrated, crystallized, crushed and screened to obtain the crystalline maltitol.

Application: 

  • When ingesting maltitol, people’s blood glucose level will not rise rapidly, since maltitol will not stimulate insulin secretion, therefore maltitol can be used as the diabetic, obese patient’s raw material in food.
  • Maltitol has good moisture retention and non-crystalline properties, and its sweetness is mild, so Maltitol can be used to make a variety of candy, chewing gum, chocolate, cotton candy, hard candy, transparent fudge, bread, biscuits, pickles.
  • Maltitol has a certain consistency and is difficult to ferment, therefore, in the manufacture of ice-cream, ice-cream, fruit juice drinks, and lactic acid drinks, maltitol is added instead of some granulated sugar to make the drink full and smooth.
  • Used to make cold throat tablets and loquat creams in medicine.
  • Has been accepted as a food additive in China, and is allowed to be used in foods according to the GB2760“Standard for the use of food additives”. It can be used in unlimited amounts according to the requirements of the production formula.
